Arts Society Accredited Lecturer
I began my career as an engineer, designing extensions to the London Underground. However, most of my working life has been spent in the theatre, mainly in opera and musical theatre, as a director, set designer and opera translator. I have also worked in television, music publishing, travel and tourism. Click the link below to hear me on BBC Sounds talking about Brighton's Daddy Long Legs Railway.
I have over 20 years experience in giving talks on a wide range of subjects, and am an accredited arts society lecturer. My full list of talks now runs to over 40 titles. Subjects include architectural history, music, theatre, and transport histories.
For those wanting a much more detailed exploration of particular subjects, a series of 2 or 3 connected lectures are presented over the course of either a half or a whole day, with plenty of time for questions and discussion on the topics raised.
